The Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Mini Frosted is where haute horology meets jewellery artistry in its most breathtaking form.
Relaunched in 2024 as a direct tribute to the original 1997 “Mini Oak,” the Royal Oak Mini Frosted measures just 23mm across and 6.6mm thick — available in pink, yellow, and white gold, each with a tone-on-tone Petite Tapisserie dial, lumed hands and markers, and water resistance to 50 metres.
What makes it extraordinary is the finish. AP uses jeweller Carolina Bucci’s diamond-tipped micro-hammering technique — thousands of micro-hits with a diamond-tipped tool that transform raw gold into a surface with diamond-dust sparkle — no stones required.
The result is a gold surface that sparkles as if laden with precious gems — with brushed and polished contrasting finishes on select elements creating a striking textural dialogue across the case, bezel, and bracelelet.
Powered by the quartz Calibre 2730 and trading on the secondary market between $88,999 and $108,000 depending on metal and condition, the Mini Frosted is simultaneously the smallest and most collectible watch in AP’s current catalogue.
